Entry WITHOUT Visa- Entry WITHOUT a Visa:
Citizens of EU member states (incl. new EU members),
Citizens of EFTA member states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland)
Citizens of Albania, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro only with the new EU passport („biometrischer Pass“).

Important!
• You can apply for a visa from the country of your residence only.
• It is absolutely impossible to extend a visa in Austria.
• You can not apply for a residence permit after having entered the
country without a visa or with a tourist Visa C, except for e.g. U.S.
nationals. (Please consult the Austrian Consulate or Embassy in your home
country for further details).
Visa C - Schengen tourist visa for
visits and individual travels up to 3 months
Visa C for German courses are issued for the exact duration of your
booked and paid course and up to max. 3 months (90 days) out of
6 months.
Visa D - Austrian visa for students/language
school students for 3 to 6 months
Visa D for German courses are issued for students and language course
students in Austria for a duration of max. 3 to 6 months.
Documents required for Visa C and D:
• Complete application form/s
• Current passport photo
• Valid passport
• Return ticket or booking confirmation
• Letter of invitation if necessary
• Confirmation of salary, pension or other income, work confirmation
from employer or trade register statement/trading license
• Proof of sufficient financial means (bank statement, credit cards
or similar)
• An accident and hospital insurance covering the whole duration
of the stay
• For university students: original and copy of a student card, confirmation
from your university + translation into German
• For all minors travelling alone: agreement declaration from parents
entitling care

Invitation - Visa support letter
- Pay the total amount for the course and accommodation. ActiLingua will then send you a Course Confirmation.
- We will reimburse the paid fee excl. administration fee, in case
the application is rejected. Please send written proof of the embassy’s
denial.
Administration fee: EUR 198 up to 14 days prior to course start. Thereafter, please refer to our cancellation terms. - Express Courier: EUR 60. Should you require an original Letter of Invitation from ActiLingua, it will be sent to you by Express Courier.
- We will send you the Voucher with your accommodation address as soon as we receive the payment from you.
Prices for Visa Application:
Visa C (max. 3 months): approx. EUR 35 to EUR 60
Visa D (3 to 6 months): approx. EUR 75
