More than 200 years after his death Mozart's fame is still uncontested.
In Vienna, his music is kept alive by numerous concerts, opera stagings
and records. In 2006, special events will celebrate the 250th
anniversary of Mozart's birth. Here's a list of some of them:
Explore Mozart's world in the house, where
he has lived for some happy and prolific years composing "The
Impesario" and "The Marriage of Figaro" among
other major works.
The Albertina will seize the chance to
explore Mozart's life, work and myth in all detail and display
exciting valuable works of art as well as fascinating virtual
installations. The exhibition was design by star architect Zaha
Hadid.

Requiem autography at the National Library
The requiem is the last
and unfinished masterpiece of Wolfang Amadeus Mozart. The autograph
is one of the most valuable pieces in the collection of the
Austrian National Library. Also to be seen: first edition of
"The Magic Flute" and of "La Clemenza di Tito"
as well as complementary information and portraits!

From the very early age of 4 years, Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart received musical education from his father. At
the age of 5 he was presented as an infant prodigious and performed
his first musical tour, through Europe.
