No Membership, no Handicap - Golfing in Vienna

As a beginner it is often difficult to find a golf club where you can use the course as well and are not restricted to teeing off at the driving range... All golf clubs which are listed in the 'Advanced golfers' section offer facilities (driving range) for beginners, however we have found one club that will allow you to golf on its public course as well:

There is a public course (6 holes par 18) for EVERYBODY. No handicap or membership. Beginners can book a golfing course (16 units á 25 minutes) for EUR 49.-

Depending on your handicap you can choose from various golf clubs in the vincinity of Vienna. Don't forget your membership pass from your local golf club which is essential to be allowed to golf on the course.

This 18 holes par 72 golf course (championship course) in Süssenbrunn is only half an hour away from school.
Membership (i.e. in your local golf club) is required.

To golf at "Golf Club am Wienerberg" is a unique experience: Only 30 minutes by public transport (tube or bus) from the city centre you are in the midst of famous Vienna woods (Wienerwald). You breath fresh air and listen to the sounds of nature while improving your handicap.
Membership (i.e. in your local golf club) is required. The golf course is slightly hilly and challenging. (9 holes par 70, SSS 70, 5.750 m long).

This 18 holes par 70 golf course lies in the middle of Vienna's leisure ressort called 'Prater'. You can rent clubs and caddy cars.
Membership (i.e. in your local golf club) and a handicap of 28 for men and of 36 for women are required.
