The idea is simple. Put up a spacious tent in front of the beautiful
marble facade of the Viennese Burgtheater
and invite famous Austrian writers to read from their oeuvre.
As there are many successful Austrian writers you might need
more time than you thought at first... Doesn't matter. Stick
to the plan, anyway.
Since more than 10 years the festival provides an excellent
overview of Austrian
literary life and a chance listen to more than 40 authors
for free! The marathon reading is scheduled to take exactly
24 hours and you can check in and out whenever you want to.
