1. When should I register?
As our German courses are often fully booked students should register
as soon as possible. The earlier we receive your application and deposit,
the easier it is for us to meet your wishes in terms of accommodation
and courses.
Should you need a visa
for Austria, please ensure that you leave enough time to complete
the relevant paper work.
German courses at ActiLingua start all Mondays, for total beginners
once a month. You can find the exact starting dates at the pages of
our German course.
At last minute you
can check if the selected German course and accommodation are available
in the period of time that suits you best - within seconds and without
commitment.

2. Is it possible to
enrol for a German course only a week before it starts?
We also make every effort to fit in last minute bookings - just send
us the registration form and deposit. Should your first choice of
accommodation (e.g.: host family) already be full, we will do our
best to find accommodation for you within your second choice (e.g.
student residence); however, when bookings are made at such short
notice, there is the risk of accommodation being fully booked altogether.
We will confirm your registration within two working days of receiving
your full payment of course and accommodation. We recommend that you
pay by credit card as a bank transfer usually takes longer. If we
cannot confirm your booking, we will refund your deposit.

3. How can I register
for a German course?
The easiest way to register for a German course with ActiLingua is
to complete the secure online registration form at online
registration form. You can also send us the completed registration
form via mail, fax or e-mail or book your German course with one of
our trusted partners in your home country. At the time of registration,
please pay the deposit of EUR 198. The deposit will be deducted from
the total amount.

4. Can I book your German
courses via a travel agency in my home country?
Of course it is possible to book your German course with one of our
trusted partners around the world, who will be able to give you competent
advice and all the answers you require in your mother tongue. Just
complete the "Contact Agent" form on our website at "Contact
an Agent". We will forward your inquiry to one of our partners
close to you, who will immediately contact you.

5. How do I obtain a
visa for Austria?
For the latest information on visa requirements, contact the Austrian
embassy or consulate in your country. The address can be found at
the
Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' site. If necessary we
will send confirmation of participation to the embassy on receipt
of course payment.

or your "European Medical Insurance Card" which will automatically
entitle you to medical treatment in Austria; otherwise please do not
forget to take out adequate health insurance before you leave home.
If you wish to take out health, accident, liability and luggage insurance,
you can book on the ActiLingua registration form as follows:

8. What happens if I
need to cancel my stay at Vienna after registration?
Cancellations must be made in writing before course start. Cancellation
charges amount to EUR 198 if you cancel up to 4 days before course
start. No refund is possible in the event of cancellation three
days or less before course start or after course start, or of non-arrival
of the participant. A cancellation becomes effective upon receipt
by ActiLingua of written or wired notification. Should the cancellation
be accompanied by nomination of a suitable replacement, ActiLingua
will waive all fees apart from an administration charge of EUR 40.
If your visa application was rejected, please send us a written
confirmation of the Austrian Embassy or consulate (in German or
English) before course start. In this case we will refund all payment
less EUR 100 administration fee.
We recommend to all participants that they take out cancellation
insurance which costs
4% of the total amount and has to be paid together with your deposit.
If you need to cancel your stay prior to departure due to illness
or the serious illness of a close family member, all costs less
insurance and travel costs are returned. A medical certificate is
required for reimbursement.

9. Can I organize a cancellation
insurance through ActiLingua?
Yes, you can book through ActiLingua a cancellation
insurance which costs
4% of the total amount and has to be paid together with your deposit.
This covers your lost programme costs if you are forced to cancel
your programme prior to arrival due to your own illness or the serious
illness of a close family member (parent, spouse). For illness, a
medical certificate is required for reimbursement. The cancellation
insurance and travel costs are not reimbursed.

10. Is it possible to
specifiy morning or afternoon courses when booking?
Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee you a place at specific
times since the course you are allocated to depends on your level
of ability. You will be informed of your precise course times upon
arrival.

11. Should I send in
the assessment test before my arrival or should I bring it with
me?
So that the German courses can begin on time and all students are
put in the correct ability group you must return the aptitude test
to us by the Monday before the course is due to begin. Please send
us the completed test by email, fax or post or do the test online
after registering. You will be told which group you are in upon arrival
in Vienna. If we do no receive your test on time, you have to complete
it on your first day in Vienna. That might lead to you missing your
first day in class.
