ActiLingua arranges paid and unpaid work experience both for EU citizens
and non-EU citizens. The placement starts after a German course of
at least four weeks' duration. EU citizens may work in Austria without
a work permit. For details, please refer to German
and Work Experience.
2. How high does my level
of German have to be before I can work in Austria?
The type of job you can do in Austria depends greatly on your knowledge
of German. As a general rule, however, your level of German must be
relatively high to secure work in Austria.
3. How do I register
for the German and Work Experience programme?
Fill out the registration form for the German course and the application
form for the internship. It is also possible for you to register online
and to send your application form with three photos and a CV by email.
For German and workexperience you need to complete two registration
forms:
our generell online
registration form for the preparatory German course and a special
registration
form for work experience which will help us find a suitable placement
for you.
4. If I have registered
for a work placement will I be sure to be allocated a place after
going on this course?
Since your previous education and experience play a significant role
in determining whether or not you will be allocated a place on a work
experience programme, no specific position, employment location or
remuneration can be guaranteed. We do our best to find an appropriate
offer. Should no position be found, we will refund EUR 277.
5. Does ActiLingua organize
accommodation for the duration of the Work Experience Programme?
Yes, we make an offer for accommodation during your internship, too.
6. When do I find out
about my work place and employer?
You can collect your job confirmation from our school office 4 weeks
before the commencement of employment. It includes precise details
of your workplace, starting time and terms. Then, you need to call
or arrange an interview with your employer and sign the job confirmation.
