1. What are the advantages
of a long-term German course at ActiLingua?
The more time you spend in a country the better you will understand
it, its people, its culture and, last but not least, its language.
The following advantages await you on a longer ActiLingua course
(German for Life 1 or 2):
- A particularly attractive price: The German for Life course
is 30 % cheaper in comparison to the standard course! (This reduction
is already considered in our pricelist.)

3. What linguistic success
can I expect from the course?
Our motivated staff and small international study groups provide
an ideal atmosphere for successful language learning. However, your
progress depends very much on your own motivation and abilities.
ActiLingua offers seven different course levels from beginner to
advanced. Each course level usually consists of 20 lessons/week
over a period of 4 to 8 weeks.
An example: you have no prior knowledge of German. If you are good
at languages and work hard, it is possible to complete Beginner
and Elementary 2 in 12 weeks.
From this level onwards you can take the internationally recognized
exam 'Zertifikat Deutsch'.

4. What linguistic success
can I expect from the course?
Our motivated staff and small international study groups provide
an ideal atmosphere for successful language learning. However, your
progress depends very much on your own motivation and abilities.
Generally, each course level consists of 20 lessons/week for 4 -
8 weeks. If you are good at languages and work hard it is possible
to complete Beginner and Elementary 1 in 12 weeks.
If you have attended the course regularly (at least 80%) you receive
a certificate of participation stating details like course level,
duration and type of course. Optionally, you can take the ActiLingua
test and get a grade for the proficiency you have acquired.
If you need your German in official and business situations mostly,
it might be a good idea to prepare for an internationally recognized
German certificate. ActiLingua Academy is official examination centre
for the the Austrian German Language Diploma (OSD). You can participate
in tailored preparation courses and take a wide selection of internationally
recognized exams.

5. Do longterm courses
have a special starting date?
If you can already speak some German, there are German courses
starting every Monday. German courses for complete beginners start
once a month: Current starting
dates. We recommend to start at the beginning of the month.
