1. How many students are in one group and what form does the teaching take?
Lessons are in small groups (max. 15 participants), from Monday to Friday. Students practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and oral comprehension in systematically structured lessons.2. What's the timetable like?
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday:Holiday course 1: 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.
Holiday course 2 (additional): 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
3. How are students allocated to the right course?
Each student receives an assessment test at the time of registration. The test must be returned two weeks before the German course starts at latest in order to ensure that the student is allocated to the right course level. Otherwise, it can happen that students miss the classes on the first day then. The test takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. Naturally, and it is only useful to us if the student completes it alone, without help. On the day of arrival, there is a short oral assessment test.
4. Which teaching materials / books do you use in the lessons?
Apart from authentic teaching materials prepared by our teachers, we use textbooks from the following publishers: Hueber, Verlag für Deutsch and Langenscheidt. Our courses follow accepted curricula, from beginners to advanced. Modern teaching materials and equipment are used. We have cd and dvd players, together with a large collection of cds and dvds for language teaching purposes, on topics including the arts, Austria, literature and business. Use of the multimedia library is a good way of adding to and reinforcing the skills acquired in class work.5. What qualifications do the teachers have?
Our teachers speak standard German as their mother tongue and have a teaching qualification as well as experience in working with young people. They are highly qualified and regularly attend training courses held by ActiLingua.
