Bei herrlichstem Sonnenschein fuhren wir in die Genussregion Burgenland. Das gemütliche Städtchen Eisenstadt lud ein zum Flanieren, das prunkvolle Schloss Esterhazy verzauberte mit seinem Reichtum und Liebe zum Detail. Wir selbst wurden zum Highlight auf der Schiffahrt am Neusiedlersee als wir im Chor zu “Volare” trällerten. Natürlich ließen wir uns auch die Möglichkeit nicht entgehen, mit der Kapitänsmütze auf dem Haupt das eine oder andere Foto zu machen und selbst das Steuer zu führen. Sportlich ließen wir den Tag im Strandbad Neusiedl beim Volleyball, Fußball und Frisbee ausklingen.

In the most splendid sunshine we started our adventurous trip into the  Burgenland. The  neighbouring province south of Vienna holds many delights. The cosy city of Eisenstadt invited us to take a stroll, the magnificent palace Esterhazy bewitched us with its richness in detail. During our cruise on the Neusiedlersee, we turned into the trip’s highlight as we chanted “Volare” at the top of our lungs. As a treat, we got to hold the wheel and take pictures with the captain’s hat on. We let the day fade away by making use of the sportive side of the Neusiedlersee – volleyball, football and frisbee.
