Erst seit einem Jahr kann sich Wien über das Motto am Fluss freuen, einem originellen Café mit angeschlossenem Restaurant und einer Greißlerei. Direkt am Schwedenplatz gelegen, dort wo der Twin City Liner – ein Katamaran der täglich zwischen Bratislava und Wien pendelt – Halt macht, hat man einen wunderbaren Blick über den Donaukanal und die Anfänge des zweiten Bezirks. Hier sind die Getränke kühl, das Essen bewusst biologisch und selbst zubereitet. So gibt es etwa ein Honig-Lavendel Brot zu verkosten, während man die Füße hochlegt. Mjamm!

For one year now Vienna has been able to enjoy the „Motto am Fluss“, an original café, attached to a restaurant and a little shop. Situated at the „Schwedenplatz“, where the Twin City Liner – a catamaran which shuttles daily between Bratislava and Vienna – makes a stop, you get a beautiful view over the Danube Canal and the second disctrict. The drinks are cool, the food organic and homemade, as e.g. the honey-lavender bread, that you can enjoy, while you relax. Yummy!

Nur einen Katzensprung weiter den Donaukanal nach oben liegt die Summerstage. Vom 3. Mai bis Ende September reihen sich hier Beachvolleyball Platz an Lokal, Pavillon an Kunstausstellung und Konzerte. Ein Glas Wein in der Hand, kann man hier mit Blick aufs Wasser entspannen, sportlich sein oder einfach nur herumschlendern um die offene Atmosphäre zu genießen. Für was man sich auch entscheidet – der Besuch lohnt sich!

From May 3 to the end of September you can find Beachvolleyball grounds, restaurants, cafés, art collections and concerts.
