ActiLingua possesses a wide and varied "videotheque" featuring nearly all major German-language films. At our video evenings, the teacher first of all introduces the film and highlights complicated vocabulary and special topics. During the film there are also frequent breaks in order to clear up any comprehension difficulties. This means that not only students with good German can participate, but all the others, too. One of the most popular choices is the Mozart film "Amadeus" directed by Milos Formann. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is shown from a very personal and moving perspective, offering deep insight into his musical oeuvre.

Do you know the film "The Third Man", with script by Graham Greene? No? Then this is an absolute must. The film is set in the ruins of post-war Vienna — at a time when Austria was under the control of the American, English, French and Russian occupying forces (1945-1955). It is an exciting crime thriller and a historical documentary rolled into one.

Vienna is a secure, captivating and accessible city with excellent quality of life as repeatedly attested by international city rankings.
