ActiLingua Academy is situated in a district
of historic importance. Did you know that there was
a Roman settlement called Vindobona at this very place? Do you
know why Vienna’s third district is called "Landstrasse"
(country road / highway)? After all we are in the very centre
of a metropolis. And what about the name "Rennweg"
denominating a street leading up to Ring boulevard. And who
is Count Metternich whose palace we pass? And whom commemorates
"Jacquin-Gasse" the street in which ActiLingua Academy
is situated? Find out and take part in our excursion.
We will also visit Vienna’s historic botanical
garden which is situated just opposite the school building
and perfect for taking a walk and unwind after an intensive
session of learning German. Baroque Belvedere
castle, too, lies just around the corner and is a definite must-see
for all ActiLingua-students.
