Spanish Riding School - Morning training of the famous Lipizzans

You cannot leave Vienna before having admired the world’s most famous horses! With this ActiLingua excursion you can watch the Lipizzans during their morning training exercising to the sound of classical music. Morning training takes place in the same location as regular performances: in the "most beautiful riding hall of the world" erected by Fischer von Erlach for Emperor Karl VI directly within the Imperial castle (Hofburg).
After a detailed introduction to the fascinating history and cultural impact of the Lipizzans and the Spanish Riding School we will visit the Lipizzan museum which is situated above the stables at the 'Stallburg'. Here you can review at leisure what you have heard and seen, watch an impressive film on the history of the Lipizzans and maybe buy an intriguing book on the famous horses as a souvenir.
