UNO-City - The World in Vienna

UNO-City was built after the plans of J. Staber in the years from 1973 to 1979 in Vienna’s 22nd district. Its distinct shape forms a Y when seen from above. United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) is the 3rd official UN office, the first being its headquarters at New York (UN HQ).

The second office is located in Geneva (UNOG). IN 1996 a fourth office was installed in Nairobi (UNON). United Nations aims to support world peace, to safeguard human rights and to improve international cooperation. A guided tour through the building will provide fascinating insights into the workings of UN, an intergovernmental organisation with international recognition... During the last decade, quite a few skysrapers have been built in the vincinity. The skyline at the banks of the Danube is impressive and unique in Vienna.
