Certificate Preparation Course

ActiLingua is an examination centre for the Austrian German Diploma (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom, OSD). Taking our Certificate Preparation Course prepares you for internationally recognized exams which you can take directly at the end of the course.



ÖSD certificate levels correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Lessons:
All German courses for adults 16+ In addition to the selected course, you take 8 group lessons or 4 individual lessons as exam preparation.
Holiday Course 16-19, Summer School 12-17
In addition to the selected course, you take 6 group lessons as exam preparation.
Group size: 5-12 or individual tuition.
Duration: 2 weeks.

Certificates:
Austrian German Diploma (OSD) and University Entrance Exam

ActiLingua Academy is an examination centre for the Austrian German Diploma (OSD).

The Austrian German Language Diploma (OSD), which is advocated by the Austrian state, boasts 120 examination centres in 30 countries and enjoys worldwide recognition for its German as a foreign language exams.

  • A2-Grundstufe Deutsch, GD *
    The candidate is able to communicate in everyday situations on an elementary level. This certificate is sufficient proof of your German skills for applying for permanent residency or Austrian citizenship.
    Course Level: ActiLingua Elementary 2 (A2)*.

  • B1-Zertifikat Deutsch, ZD *
    The Zertifikat Deutsch is a joint certificate of OSD, the Goethe Institute, WBT and Fribourg University. This certificate is widely recognized by employers as sufficient evidence of proficiency in German and improves your chances of success on the job market.
    Course Level: ActiLingua Elementary 3 (B1)*.

  • B2-Mittelstufe Deutsch, MD * - University Entrance Exam
    The candidate can communicate spontaneously and fluently with native speakers of German about a broad spectrum of topics. The certificate is accepted by some Austrian universities as sufficient proof of German language skills for admittance to studies.
    Course Level: After completing ActiLingua Intermediate 1 (B2)*.


  • C1-Oberstufe Deutsch * - University Entrance Exam (Austria, Germany, Switzerland)
    C1 Oberstufe Deutsch is accepted by Austrian and some German and Swiss universities as sufficient proof of German language skills for admittance to studies.
    Course Level: After completing ActiLingua Intermediate 2 (C1)*.


  • C2-Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch, WD * - University Entrance Exam (Austira, Germany, Switzerland)
    OSD in conjunction with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. Course Level: For students who are conversant with business topics, after completion of ActiLingua Advanced (C2)*. C2 Deutsch is accepted by Austrian and some German and Swiss universities as sufficient proof of German language skills for admittance to studies.

  • B1-Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche *
    The Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj) was developed by OSD in cooperation with Goethe Institute, WBT and Fribourg University for young students aged 12-19 years, based on Zertifikat Deutsch.

  • ActiLingua Certificate
    If you have attended your course regularly (at least 80%), you receive a certificate of participation giving details of the type of course, duration, course level and number of lessons attended.

*Our course levels, as compared to the Common European Framework of Reference as issued by the European Commission that is the basis for the advancement of European multilingualism.
