Sound command of a foreign language and work
experience abroad allow you to write your own career ticket. You have
a head start on the competition, better career opportunities and,
as a result, a solid foundation for a successful future. ActiLingua
offers you German language courses in combination with internship.
The programme consists of two stages: first, the German
language preparation course in Vienna. Second, Work
Experience/Internship in a carefully selected Austrian
company for one month to one year.
Application requirements
- Age: 18 - 30 years.
- Good command of German (min. 2-3 years at school).
- Minimum stay in Austria: 2 months.
- Insurance documents must be produced upon arrival (proof of
E111/121 insurance or private insurance cover).
German Language
Preparation Course:
Choose a German Course with a minimum duration of 4 weeks. 20/30 +
5 lessons/week. Fees cover four/six lessons tuition per day plus five
lessons per week devoted to the cultural program. Standard,
Intensive course. Starting
date: Every Monday. Beginners once a month.
Work Experience/Internship
Students may choose from the sectors listed under paid
/ unpaid experience. We will accommodate preferences as far as
possible. Please note that the position offered is likely to be influenced
by the applicant's previous work experience, education and his/her
level of German.
Employment location: Most of the job placement offered by ActiLingua
are in Vienna, Salzburg, or tourist resorts in the Alps.
Application Procedure
To apply for work experience please send us:
- Your Curriculum Vitae in German or English, either typewritten
or in block capitals
- 3 photos of yourself.
- A completed application form for employment.
- Completed ability test.
- Copies of insurance documents.
Your application papers must be received by ActiLingua a minimum
of nine weeks before the start of work experience. We will confirm
receipt of your application. Our confirmation will also include
information on the: Telephone interview between student and ActiLingua
Placement Officer. Please call the ActiLingua Placement Officer
within 5 days of receiving our confirmation.
Allocation: You can collect your job confirmation from the ActiLingua
school office 4 weeks before commencement of employment. It includes
precise details of your workplace, starting time and conditions.
You will then call or arrange an interview with your employer and
sign the job confirmation.
Certificates
After the internship each participant will get a detailed description
and evaluation regarding the content and success of the trainee ship
from his employer.
