Citizens of Russia, the Ukraine and other CIS-States (Armenia, Azerbaijan,
the Georgian Republic, Kazakhstan, Khirgisia, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan,
Uzbekistan) need a visa to visit Austria.

Advantage: In most cases, no personal interview is necessary for the visa
application!
Important!
- You can apply for or extend a visa from your country of residence only.
- Visa applications should be made at least 6 weeks before your departure.
Visa C - Schengen
tourist visa for visits and individual travels for up to 3 months
Visa C for German courses are issued for the exact duration of your booked
and payed course and up to max. 3 months (90 days) out of 6 months.
Visa D - Austrian
visa for students/language school students
Visa D for German courses are issued for students and language course students
in Austria for a duration of max. 3 to 6 months.
Documents required for Visa C and D:
- Participants who need a „Declaration of Guarantee“ for their visa
application need to pay ActiLingua:
• 100 % of total amount of course price and accommodation
• Visa support fee: EUR 100
• After having received a copy of the passport and your payment to our bankaccount, ActiLingua will mail the original Letter of Invitation and Declaration of Guarantee to you.
• If required, we will send the Letter of Invitation, Formal Obligation and insurance documents by Express Post (costs: EUR 60)
• We will send you the Voucher with the accommodation address as soon as we have received the payment from you.
•We will reimburse the paid fee excl. administration fee, in case the application is rejected. Please send written proof of the embassy’s denial.
Administration fee: EUR 198 up to 14 days prior to course start. Thereafter, please refer to our cancellation terms.
• Application form completely filled in and signed by the applicant.
• Two recent colour photos (ICAO standard, 3x4 cm).
• Valid passport (valid for more than 3 months after expiry date of
the requested visa), signed by the holder, and copy of the passport (all
pages).
• Return ticket or booking confirmation.
• Original Letter of Invitation or Formal Obligation (Russia) or original
Course Confirmation via mail (Ukraine).
• Declaration of Guarantee if required.
• Work confirmation from employer or official form stating your position,
confirmation of salary, pension or other income and German translation.
• An accident and hospital insurance covering the whole duration of
the stay (list of accepted insurance available at the Austrian Embassy).
• For university students: original and copy of a student card, confirmation
from your university.
• For all minors travelling alone:
• Original and copy of agreement declaration from both parents / legal
custodian in authenticated German translation
• Certificate of birth and copy
• Copies of parents' passports
