What’s your name?

Where are you from?
From the USA.

How long have you been studying German?
I studied German at a university for one and a half years.

Why did you choose ActiLingua?
After I had found the website of ActiLingua, I knew that ActiLingua is wonderful and professional. ActiLingua offers professional “German and Music” courses and  a comfortable residence for students.

What do you especially like about ActiLingua?
The coffee machine! Haha, no, no. I like the teachers best. They are very friendly. It’s fun to learn German with them!

Why did you choose Vienna?
Because I’m a musician and therefore Vienna is a heavenly city for me. It’s the best place in the world to experience and study music.

What do you like most about Vienna?
The music. Vienna is a city of music with many concerts and operas. They are very cheap, too. They often play oeuvres of Austrian composers, for example Mozart, Schubert, Strauß and Brahms. So, you can listen to real Austrian music.

What is your favourite place in Vienna?
The old town is my favourite place in Vienna. There are many theatres, restaurants, museums and exhibitions. The old town’s architecture is very beautiful, too.

What is a must-do in Vienna?
You have to visit a concert or an opera. Here you can find perhaps the best music all over the world!

What do you usually have to eat or drink in Vienna?
You have to eat „Leberkas“ (a type of meat loaf) and sauerkraut. Both is pretty tasty.

How many “Schnitzel“ have you eaten already?
Not so many. I have only eaten „Schnitzel“ twice. I like „Leberkas“ better than „Schnitzel“.

What is typically Austrian?
A waltz by Strauß.

What is your favorite German word?
„Handschuh“ (en: hand shoe = glove).

What is your summary about Vienna?
Vienna is a beautiful, clean city with lots of culture, history and music.
