Alongside metropolises like New York, Geneva and Nairobi, Vienna serves as one of the official UN office sites. The Summer School students paid it a visit.

Upon arrival, the flags outside the conference building ooze the international flair felt only here. A feeling that resonates with our international Summer School students. They were thrilled by the international contacts and impressive guests.

Following an in-depth guided tour of the premises, our next stop was way up. Vienna’s Danube Tower, built in 1964, attracts with a magnificent view at 150 metres above ground.

Its seemingly endless view was the perfect ending to our tour. The students were able to ponder all the day’s impressions – maybe one of them will want to work in the UNO-City one day. A German course at ActiLingua will definitely give them a good foundation to do so.

Every guide in the UNO-City has to speak English and German perfectly. Even though German is not an official UN language, more than half of the 50.000 visitors per year speak German.
