German Summer School – Accommodation & Meals
Living on Campus in the Heart of Vienna
A big part of the ActiLingua Summer School experience is living together with students from all over the world. Students stay directly on the historic Theresianum campus in central Vienna, surrounded by a large private park with plenty of space for sports, leisure and spending time with friends. Classes, accommodation, the dining hall and many of the sports and leisure facilities are all located on campus. This makes everyday camp life easy and creates a lively international community where students meet not only during lessons and activities, but throughout the day.
Students of similar ages are accommodated together, while we aim to mix different nationalities wherever possible. This encourages international friendships and gives students additional opportunities to communicate in German outside the classroom. Specific roommate requests are taken into consideration whenever possible.
Students can choose between two accommodation categories.
German Summer School
Standard Room
Our Standard Rooms accommodate 4–6 students and are ideal for students who enjoy the social experience of sharing a room with a larger group of new friends.

Superior Room
Our Superior Rooms offer smaller room occupancy and the convenience of a private shower.

- Most are twin rooms

- Toilet either in the room or on the same floor, depending on the room

24/7 Supervision
ActiLingua offers 24/7 support and supervision! At ActiLingua Summer School, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students:
• Round-the-clock staff availability: Our dedicated team is on-site 24/7 to provide support and assistance.
• Supervised activities: All on-campus and off-campus activities are carefully monitored by our staff.
• Parental consent for outings: Students require written permission from parents for independent outings from the premises, ensuring peace of mind for families.
Full Board – Fresh, Varied and Student-Friendly
German lessons, sports, activities and exploring Vienna require plenty of energy. Residential students therefore enjoy full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner served on campus.
Breakfast
The day starts with a varied breakfast buffet including fresh bread and rolls, cold cuts and cheese, butter, jams and spreads, cereals, as well as tea, coffee, cocoa and juice.
Lunch
Lunch is a freshly prepared three-course meal with a soup or starter, a choice of main course and dessert. The menu combines international favourites with traditional Austrian dishes.
Dinner
A freshly prepared evening meal is served after the afternoon programme. Following full-day excursions, dinner arrangements may occasionally vary and can include a cold buffet.
Something for Everyone
We cater for different dietary requirements. Vegetarian, vegan and halal meals are available when requested during booking.
Meals Are Part of Camp Life
Eating together is also an important part of the international summer school experience. Students meet in the dining hall, spend time with friends from different classes and countries and share the experiences of their day.
Generous portions are served, with second helpings available whenever possible. Special summer highlights such as barbecue evenings add variety and bring the camp community together.
