Registration – Visa – Cancellation
The easiest way to register for a German course with ActiLingua Academy is through our secure online booking portal. At the time of registration, please pay the deposit of EUR 198. This amount will be deducted from the total course fee. Payment can be made by credit card (VISA, Mastercard) or via bank transfer. If your course begins in less than 30 days, please provide the full payment immediately.

Yes, in many cases that’s possible – and we do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings. At the same time, we have a responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly and fairly for everyone involved: for you, for the other participants in the group, and for our teachers. That’s why we need to follow a clear process and a tight timeline.
If you’d like to start, please submit your booking via our online booking portal as soon as possible. Our customer support team will then send you the placement test.
To secure a suitable place for you, it’s important that you complete and return the test at your earliest convenience, so we can assess your level and place you in the right group.
Please note: on Fridays after 3:00 pm, our office may no longer be reachable. If you cannot reach us, then you are welcome to come to the school on Monday at 8:30 am. However, please understand that in this case, we cannot guarantee a spot, as placement depends on availability and level matching.
Once we receive your test results, we will contact you with the next steps, including payment and confirmation of your course start.
As our German courses at ActiLingua Academy are often fully booked, we recommend registering as soon as possible. The earlier we receive your application and deposit, the better we can accommodate your preferences for courses and accommodation.
If you require a visa for Austria, please allow enough time to complete the necessary paperwork.
German courses at ActiLingua Academy start every Monday, with courses for total beginners starting once a month. Exact starting dates can be found on our German course pages.
You can also book your German course through one of our trusted partners worldwide. They can provide you with expert advice and answer any questions you may have in your native language.
For the latest visa requirements, please contact the Austrian Embassy or consulate in your country. You can find their contact details on the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website. If needed, we will send confirmation of participation, payment, and, if booked, insurance and accommodation confirmation to the embassy once we have received your payment.

Pursuant to Section 18 (1) (10) FAGG, no statutory right of withdrawal applies (see Section 4).
The following voluntary cancellation terms apply:
• Up to four weeks before arrival: 10 % of the total amount (minimum EUR 198.–).
• Up to 20 (twenty) days before arrival: 50 % of the total amount.
• Up to six working days before arrival: 80% of the total amount.
• Thereafter or in case of no-show: 100% of the total amount.
Cancellations become effective once ActiLingua Academy receives written notification. If your booking includes a visa application submitted to an Austrian embassy or consulate, ActiLingua will inform the respective authority of your cancellation.
For University Preparation and Enrolment Guidance, the full deposit (EUR 198 plus fees for University Preparation and Enrolment Guidance) is non-refundable.
These cancellation terms do not affect your legal right of withdrawal.
Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings:
– For cancellations made up to 60 working days before the course start, 10% of the total amount is charged.
– For cancellations made between 59 and 29 working days before the course start, 50% of the total amount is charged.
– For cancellations made between 28 and 14 working days before the course start, 75% of the total amount is charged.
– For cancellations made from 13 working days before the course start, 100% of the total amount is charged.
For a reduction in the number of participants, the cancellation conditions for individual bookings apply.
General Information: All refunds will be made after deducting the applicable cancellation fees, bank charges, and any travel insurance costs.
At ActiLingua Academy, course schedules are determined based on your German proficiency level. During the year Standard Course 25 is taking place in the morning. In the Summer courses can be scheduled in the morning or in the afternoon depending on your level. While we strive to accommodate individual preferences, we cannot guarantee specific time slots. You will receive your exact schedule on the first day of school.
Yes, ideally. If you are studying German on your own before the course starts and your start date is not within the next three weeks, you may submit the placement test closer to your course start date.
However, please make sure that we receive the completed test no later than three weeks before your course begins, so we can place you in the right level and organize your class properly.
