In 2022, Daniela and Mitar Pitzek took over ActiLingua Academy, bringing a fresh vision to this storied institution. Their unique paths reflect the transformative power of learning—a core value they bring to every aspect of ActiLingua Academy.

Meet Daniela
Before joining ActiLingua Academy, Daniela had a successful career as an attorney specializing in real estate transactions. After over 20 years of legal experience, she sought a new challenge that aligned with her passion for supporting others. At ActiLingua Academy, Daniela is committed to creating an environment where students can achieve their goals while experiencing Vienna’s rich culture. Her favorite German word, Hingabe (dedication), reflects her approach to leadership and her belief in the power of learning to transform lives.

Meet Mitar
Mitar’s journey began in the suburbs of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, where his love of German literature changed the course of his life. Inspired by Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha and Rainer Maria Rilke’s poetry, Mitar taught himself German at 18 and went on to earn a Master’s degree and Doctorate in German Linguistics from Humboldt University in Berlin. His lifelong passion for education led him to Vienna, where he founded a German language school in 2004 and, ultimately, acquired ActiLingua Academy in 2022. Mitar’s favorite quote, “Life is change,” perfectly captures his philosophy of learning, growth, and embracing new perspectives.
